1 Pkg. NOH Poke Mix (sounds like poe key), Net wt. 0.4 ounce, 11.2g.
1 Cup water.
1 Pound of fish (aku, ahi, swordfish, tako, etc. Tofu too.
Knife and mixing bowl.
1 teaspoon sesame oil.
Directions for Hawaiian Poke:
Per one pound of fish (aku, ahi, swordfish, tako, etc.) or tofu.
Cut the fish into 3/4 inch cubes. If tako, cut to 1/8 inch thick pieces.
Place the cut up fish in a bowl.
Remove the ogo (seaweed) from the package and place into one cup of water.
Let the ogo soak for 5 minutes.
Remove the ogo from the water.
Cut the ogo to 1/2 inch pieces.
Sprinkle the ogo over the cut up fish.
Add 1~2 teaspoons of sesame oil.
Add the Poke mix.
Mix well and serve room temperature or cold.
Optional: Add chopped green onion. Excellent for Tofu Poke. You can do this. So easy and tasty. With the basic ingredients in this package, it's simple to adapt to your style.
